Elephant House to provide ‘Lite’ beverage for Nawaloka Hospitals

Nawaloka Hospitals, the leaders amongst private sector healthcare providers have entered into a partnership with Ceylon Cold Stores (CCS) manufacturers of Elephant soft drinks, whereby Elephant brand zero calorie ‘Lite’ soft drinks will be provided to patients at the Nawaloka Heart and Lasik (eye surgery) Centres.

Nawaloka Hospitals Director Harshith Dharmadasa said the new range of ‘Lite’ sugar free soft drinks manufactured by Elephant Soft Drinks would be made available to all those who avail themselves of Nawaloka Hospital’s cardiac and eye surgery facilities.
Nawaloka Hospitals recently introduced the latest, state-of-the-art equipment to its Heart Center, namely the Allura Xper FD10 flat panel cardiac catheterisation laboratory with electro physiology facilities from Philips (the world leaders in the field of cardiology for delivering unmatched patient care) for cardiac, vascular and interventional procedures at a cost of Rs. 120 million.

The Lasik Centre too has earned a reputation for performing eye surgery using state-of-the-art equipment, the only one of its kind in the country.

JKH Vice President and Head of Beverage of CCS, Srikanth Selledurai said, “Since the launch of EGB ‘Lite’ early this year, there has been a growing and consistent demand among Sri Lankan consumers for zero calorie beverages.”

The Sri Lankan consumer is now more discerning and realises that diet soft drinks can help reduce one’s calorie intake, whether for weight loss or weight maintenance purposes. In our continuous endeavour to meet growing challenges, comes our decision to offer these products to patients of Nawaloka Hospital’s Lasik and Heart Centres. We are pleased to be associated with the country’s premier private health care facility and look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship,” he added.
