Boggles trotting

Rohitha Bogollagama continues to globe trot on public expenses. On Saturday night he took wing to Ottawa, on the back of having arrived in Colombo the same day from another foreign trip.

The Minister went from Ottawa to Frankfurt and then on to Brussels and is expected to meet with the French foreign minister in Paris today. The Foreign Minister is also likely to visit Poland during this tour.

The Minister is alleged to have travelled with a six member delegation despite a presidential decree that a minister shall not travel with an entourage of not more than two persons.

Minister Bogollagama has not been in Sri Lanka for more than two weeks at a stretch since assuming office.

People point out that the minister undertakes these whirlwind global tours at a time when his own ministry and the country at large are experiencing a massive financial crisis.
