Eagle launches “Eagle Centre for Excellence”

A state-of-the-art training facility on par with international standards

Eagle has launched The Eagle Centre for Excellence in Colombo with a state-of-the-art infrastructure and high-tech equipment, completely geared to unleash the potential of trainees. Spacious, comfortably furnished, well-equipped training rooms, combined with world-class modules and learning practices go hand in hand with performance, professionalism and personal development. Its wide array of facilities has made the Eagle Centre for Excellence, one of the best in the region.
The Centre takes the leadership in assisting Eagle professionals to achieve excellence in the insurance profession.

“The company developed the Centre for Excellence in order to ensure the enhancement of knowledge and competencies of the sales force in designing dynamic financial solutions to meet the changing needs of customers and to ensure excellent financial advice.” commented Managing Director,

Mr. Deepal Sooriyaarachchi. “With this, the company will be better positioned to provide customers with excellence in service and the best financial advice possible”, he continued.

“Investing in people and people development has been a consistent core-strategy of Eagle. This latest investment of upgrading the Eagle training centre to international standards is a reflection of this.” Mr. Sooriyaarachchi concluded.

Setting another benchmark in the industry Eagle has set-up and conceptualised a voluntary internal certification course to certify the technical competencies of the life field force ensuring excellent product knowledge and service capabilities. As a part of this initiative only specially trained and licensed sales professionals are allowed to promote unit-linked products to identified customer segments.

In association with globally recognised LIMRA, the Centre conducts LIMRA international qualification programmes in Insurance Sales Management and Selling, conducted by Eagle’s own LIMRA certified moderators. Eagle is the first company outside UK to receive recognition from CIM-UK for its in-company training.

Last year Eagle conducted The Aviva Eagle Joint Knowledge Management Programme. Participants were from Aviva, India and Eagle.
This 3-day knowledge sharing programme was perhaps the first of its kind in the industry where two countries combined their expertise and knowledge in order to learn from each other, once again showcasing Eagle’s constant endeavour to value-add to all stakeholders.

Eagle is an Aviva Company. Aviva is the world’s oldest insurance group, with a history dating back 300 years to 1696. Today it is the world’s fifth-largest insurance group and the biggest in the UK. The group has 59,000 employees world-wide, serving 40 million customers with Sterling Pounds 364 billion assets under management.
