Anti-Personnel
Mines have taken their deadly toll on both militants and civilians,
indiscriminately during the past two decades. These are just
a few which were discovered in the newly cleared Silavattura
area after the security forces launched a limited operation
south of Mannar. The Military claims that they recovered a large
haul of weapons from the area which included suicide boats
