To maim no more

Anti-Personnel Mines have taken their deadly toll on both militants and civilians, indiscriminately during the past two decades. These are just a few which were discovered in the newly cleared Silavattura area after the security forces launched a limited operation south of Mannar. The Military claims that they recovered a large haul of weapons from the area which included suicide boats

President, Dilan in a war of words

Justice Minister Dilan Perera stormed out of a government parliamentary group meeting held at Temple Trees on Monday, after a serious exchange of words with UNP dissident ministers and the President himself, over the controversial COPE report that has highlighted irregularities in several high profile government deals.
