Synergy School of Marketing imbeds ethics

Synergy Ethics is a code devised by the Synergy School of Marketing – a pioneering move which, since its inception in 1999, has become a benchmark of constant innovation and excellence.

Synergy Ethics will now become part of the institute’s study programmes which include preparatory classes for the examinations of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), Communication, Advertising & Marketing (CAM) and CIM Apparel Marketing.

Mohammed Adamally, Director of Synergy School of Marketing said, “being ethical in business is simply being mindful of the impacts of one’s actions and decisions and doing the right thing, and we believe that by instilling this awareness in our students, we will help mould a strong marketing professional who is ethical in all his or her dealings.”

Michael Ranasinghe, Director of Synergy added, “From the very inception, our promise has been that of ‘Shaping Futures.’ Synergy Ethics is yet another value addition which would make a student of Synergy a preferred employee, which I am sure is the ultimate measure of success.”
Synergy School of Marketing was established in 1999, and has grown in size and stature over the years and is now reputed for offering students a holistic experience which is not just limited to academic learning. The school’s offering includes a great degree of value added learning experiences that take a practical approach – helping students to expand their knowledge and horizons.

The value additions offered by Synergy include a free subscription to the ‘Fortune’ magazine as well as interactive programmes and a website offering students an abundance of learning material.

Irosha Wettasinghe, Marketing Manager of the Imperial Institute of Higher Education, a former student of Synergy said, “The support and guidance I received at Synergy studying for my Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing (CIM) was indeed wonderful. The Lecturer’s dedication to keeping us up to date on the latest happenings in the marketing field and their commitment to paying personalized attention to students were real contributing factors to my success.”

Synergy is an accredited study centre of CIM UK and conducts lectures for all three stages of the CIM qualification, catering to all those who wish to become professional marketers. Synergy is the only accredited centre in Asia to conduct courses for the CAM (Communication, Advertising & Marketing) qualification. The course is designed for those who wish to pursue careers in media, advertising and public relations. Synergy, together with the Joint Apparel Association Foundation (JAAF) also offers programmes of CIM (Apparel Marketing) and is the only CIM UK accredited study centre for this programme which caters specifically to the apparel sector

Synergy has also spread its wings overseas – its first overseas operation got underway in the Republic of Maldives in 2003 and was accredited by CIM UK in 2005 as the exclusive accredited study centre for CIM in the Maldives. In 2005, Synergy extended its innovative approach to professional education to the hill capital, Kandy, and in 2006 took up the challenge of launching in the UK with a competitive offering to all students. Plans are in place for yet another venture beyond Sri Lankan shores in the near future.
