Basil to get Samurdhi portfolio too

Senior Presidential Advisor and recently sworn in SLFP National List Member of Parliament, Basil Rajapaksa is likely to be sworn in as Minister for Samurdhi, Estate Infrastructure and Nation Building as soon as President Mahinda Rajapaksa returns to the island.

According to reports, Basil Rajapaksa’s letter of appointment is drafted and ready to be handed over when the President returns after addressing the UN General Assembly sessions in New York, in early October.
