Globe Business Academy launches new learning opportunities

Offers special Individual Subjects Program in CIMA, Organizational Management and Information System and Fundamental of Management Accounting


The Global Business Academy (GBA) has launched a slew of new learning opportunities offering special individual subjects program in CIMA, Organisational Management and Information System as well as Fundamental of Management Accounting.


The GBA was established in the year 2005 and operates from Mount Lavania and is commencing special modular base program to increase the success and pass rate of students in the CIMA Managerial subjects OMIS (Organization Management information System).


In this subject there are five areas such as Information Technology, Human Resources Management, Operation Management, Marketing and Change management.


The key course provider Akram Abdus Samad CEO, who has 13 years advanced, innovative and quality Teaching experience in CIMA, CIM.LCCI and ABE in Sri Lanka, Maldives and Saudi Arabia and with 13 years Senior Management experience in Finance, marketing, HR, IT and operation management in various industries and environment.


He worked as ERP Consultant and worked with more than 10 leading Finance management software’s such as , Quick books , Peach Tree, Accapac, Tally, Sage, Solomon, Great plan, MYOB, Hotel Plus and tailor made software and further ERP software such as Oracle and SAP. He worked in fully computerized organizations like Kolon Samsung, White Hills, Oasis Hospital, HTN information, Bake Line (Pvt) Ltd KDA Weerasinges, Focus Infocom, Universal Group of Hotels in Maldives, and Al Kifah of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.


As for Human Resources experience, he has 8 years experience which handled various clients in the Middle East including leading Dairy corporate Almarai. He has been doing consultancy to several leading recruitment organizations and specialized in E-Recruitment. As for marketing and operation management, he has 10 years senior Marketing and Operation management work experience with lecturing experience such as LCCI and CIM (U.K) and operation management in degree programs.


GBA said the course will be taught in 48 hours which include theory and 5 pass paper with One Mock exam which will commence 1st week of October 2007 for those who are sitting November 2007 and student who in foundation who also would like to complete class for OMIS in advance. He is in the process of completing the 2nd Batch of which 1st Batch completed at leading institute Branch in Kandy.


CIMA Fundamental Management Accounting Special program arranged in 1st week of October 2007 with state of art multimedia presentation so that syllabus covered in one month with 48 hours theory with revision questions which is another innovation of GBA.


In December GBA will commence classes for CIMA foundation and Managerial -1, CIM Professional diploma, LCCI –Diploma in Marketing and ABE Business Management: - Diploma -2 and Advanced Diploma.
