The
editor of the Ethalaya.com news website, Kumudu Champika Jayawardena
was shot last night in Senanayake Place, Nawala at around 10.30
p.m., Welikada police said.
Jayawardena, a former Sirasa news producer was appointed editor
of Ethalaya on October 20, 2007.
At the time this edition went to press, Jayawardena was receiving
treatment at the Colombo National Hospital ICU.
