Rangana steers Seethawaka to semi-finals

In their third year of cricket Seethawaka MV Ratnapura managed to enter the semi-final in the inter-school under-13 cricket limited overs tournament by beating Vidyaloka MV Veyangoda by 110 runs at the Dharmapala College grounds, Pannipitiya. Batting first Seethawaka MV mustered 244 runs in 46.2 overs. Skiper, all-rounder, D. Rangana Chandradasa made a brilliant quick-fire 96 in 59 balls with 8 boundaries and 10 sixes and took 2 wickets for 20. S.G. Sisirakumara with a valuable 48 supported Chandradasa.

Vidyaloka MV’s right-arm leg-spinner B.V Ariyawansa who already has claimed 60 wickets in this season took 5 wickets conceding 43 runs. In reply Vidyaloka MV made 134 runs batting for 39.4 overs. J.A. Cader scored 43 runs for the losing side.
