Hameedia, Sri Lanka’s pioneer and undoubted leader in men’s-wear made its mark in Wattala through the opening of the seventh Mega-Store recently. The chief guest at the opening ceremony was none other than the Managing Director of Toyota Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd; Mr. Nobuhiko Kato while the guest of honour was the Managing Director of the Bata Shoe Company of Ceylon Ltd; Mr. R J Mollo.

“At Hameedia we have categorized our showrooms into several categories. A mega-store is a showroom which can provide the total clothing solution for a gentleman. The Hameedia Mega-Stores can easily cater to any formalwear, casual-wear, party-wear or office-wear requirement of an individual and also has its own fully fledged tailoring department. Yet another significant fact about the mega-stores is that they have a separate floor dedicated for women’s and children’s garments,” the Managing Director of Hameedia, Fouzul Hameed stated.

“Due to our Customer Relationship Management Programme, we have seen that many individuals and families residing in areas such as Wattala, Ja-Ela and Seeduwa are visiting our showrooms in and around Colombo to fulfil their clothing requirements. Making ‘shopping for clothes’ a more convenient experience for them was one key objective setting up the Hameedia Mega-Store in Wattala”, Fouzul Hameed said.

I believe this showroom would be very useful for individuals who need to do some last moment shopping related to clothing, while on their way to the Bandaranaike International Airport to leave the country on a foreign business or leisure trip, he added.
