ODEL comes to Ja-Ela

ODEL, Sri Lanka’s premier lifestyle store, says hello to Ja-Ela this November with the opening of its newest store in this rapidly growing suburb of Colombo.

This addition to the brand’s chain of stores follows its earlier expansion to Kohuwela last month, and highlights ODEL’s ability to grow and evolve into Sri Lanka’s most successful and iconic brand from its origins as a one-store operation. Ja-Ela, a town recognised for its noticeably rapid growth over the past couple of years has risen to become a fashion conscious suburban area. As one of Colombo’s most popular residential and commercial suburbs, Ja-Ela boasts an impressively mature and up-to-date retail sector, and fits well into the brand’s plan to tap into emerging consumer markets. The new clothing store will be the brand’s second store located on the outskirts of Colombo, and the sixth for ODEL, and is a significant move by the retail brand as it ventures into new territories.

The other stores are located currently at Alexandra Place, Majestic City, the Bandaranaiyake International Airport, and Dickman’s road. The brands largest expansion at Alexandra place adjoining the current department store which will be one of the best retail spaces in the region is set to start next year.
