Copyline gets top honours at prestigious Annual Report Awards 2007

Design and publishing firm Copyline dazzled critics when one of its oldest clients Union Assurance PLC won the prestigious award for the Best Annual Report of the year at the Institute of Chartered Accountants’ Annual Report Awards 2007.

The highly anticipated awards recognise and honour organisations who have achieved excellence in annual reporting of activities for the last financial year. Copyline is a name synonymous with the design, print and publishing of annual reports since 1991.

“We would like to congratulate Union Assurance on their achievement as well as several of our other clients who have been honoured for their excellence in annual reporting,” Copyline CEIO Keith Blom said.
“We are proud of this achievement as it is also evidence of Copyline’s superior capabilities in designing and publishing of annual reports to meet the exacting standards of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.”
In addition to the main award, Union Assurance also walked away with gold in the Insurance category, the Gold Award for its Management Commentary and a Certificate of Merit for Corporate Governance Disclosure.

United Motors also won gold in the Motor category while Senkadagala Finance won the Silver Award in the Finance Category. Hayleys Advantis and SriLankan Airlines, who are also Copyline’s clients, shared the Silver Award for the service sector. SriLankan Airlines also won the Bronze Award for its Management Commentary.

Lanka Tiles Ltd and Janashakthi Insurance Company won Certificates of Recognition in the Diversified Holdings (5 subsidiaries or less) and Insurance categories respectively.

Copyline Pvt Ltd was one of the first companies to venture into the design and publishing of annual reports, building and maintaining strong relationships over the years with clients and suppliers and offering a complete service from brief to delivery.

In addition to annual reports, the company designs and publishes a variety of concept books, corporate branding and publishing materials. Clients are given imaginative and contemporary design options, the best quality printing available and responsive services and advice.

Copyline’s client portfolio includes several Sri Lankan blue-chip companies and international non-governmental organisations. The company also works with several top hotel chains in the region.

The Copyline Group also includes marketing and public relations firm Clinch Advertising – a fully fledged communications provider that offers strategic, creative and customised solutions to meet diverse client needs. Resource Asia Network that publishes the popular Travel Sri Lanka magazine is also part of the Copyline Group.
