Hospitals signs MOU with Manipal Health Systems
An official Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed today between
Asiri Group of Hospitals and one of Indias leading healthcare
providers, Manipal Health Systems to promote close cooperation in
several key health areas.
The MOU will strengthen co-operation and exchanges in health and
medical areas with an aim to raise the health care standard.
The MOU was signed by Mr. Ashok Pathirage, Managing Director, Asiri
Group of Hospitals and Mr. R Basil, Managing Director and CEO of
Manipal Health Systems with the objective of enhancing the existing
expertise and super specialities of Asiri Hospitals.
Commenting on the signing of this momentous MOU, Mr. Pathirage said,
This is good news for the healthcare and medical service
industry in the country and an excellent step forward for Asiri
Hospitals in our continuous effort to be one of the best health
service providers in the region. Asiri Hospitals is committed in
offering innovative and high quality medical services to serve local
and international patients. We are proud to be associated with established

Speaking after the signing, Mr. R Basil said, This association
will bring out the best of clinical excellence and a patient centric
culture to this nation. In addition, according to the MOU,
the two sides would encourage medical and health professional groups
to share experience through seminars and training programmes. Also,
mutual co-operation on hospital management would be advanced through
ways such as fostering exchange between hospital management experts
and health care professionals, building partnership between hospitals
and discussing the arrangement for effective referral of patients
among the medical institutions in India and Sri Lanka.
