Gas goes up

Shell Gas Lanka Ltd. has increased the price of a domestic gas cylinder by Rs. 175, as of last night. The new price of a 12.5Kg domestic gas cylinder is Rs. 1488 and the price of a 2.3Kg gas cylinder is Rs. 274.


According to the Company, the price hike was introduced due to the unprecedented increase in LPG prices in the world market by 30%. The price hike was done with the approval of the Consumer Affairs Authority.
