Gayan, Dhanushka score centuries

Opener Gayan Malinga struck an elegant 103 not out (115 balls, 14 fours, 3 sixes) as sponsors, Edirisinghe Trust Investment (ETI) raced to a comfortable six-wicket win with 10 overs to spare over Slimline in the ongoing MCA Division ‘C’ 50-overs League Tournament continued last weekend.

SriLankan Airlines ‘A’ opener, Dhanushka Eddussuriya (103 in 114 balls with 13 fours) was the other centurion, whose valiant effort gave them a thrilling one-wicket win with just one ball to spare over newcomers, MAS Active Synergy.

An unbroken 110 runs second wicket partnership between Janaka Wannakkuwatte (55 not out) and Indika Senaratne (52 not out) took E-Wis to a comprehensive nine wicket win over Confifi Group.
