Hettiarachchi wins bronze medals in India

‘The Athletic meet’ sports extravaganza – VIE 08 organised by Sri Bagvan Mahaveer Jane College, was held in the city of Bangalore India.

Though the meet was only for athletes from India, Royal College, Colombo was also invited to participate as special invitees.

It was highly competitive and the captain of the Royal College athletic team D.S.T. Hettiarachchi who represented the college won 2 Bronze medals in the discuss and putt-shot throwing events.

Hettiarachchi who is 18 years took part in the events for the category of 25 years and below.

He also represents the Royal College cricket team.
