Marvan’s century in vain

Former Sri Lanka captain Marvan Atapattu continued his fine form for Ceylinco Group when he stroked his way to a century but it was not good enough to stop Janashakthi Insurance from beating them by six wickets in a Mercantile Premier League cricket match played at the R Premadasa Stadium.

In the other two matches played yesterday John Keells pulled off a nerve-tingling one-wicket win over Nawaloka Group at Kadirana grounds while at Katunayake, Sampath Banka snatched a six-run win over Hatton National Bank.
