MCA over 40 Sixes

Scan Products Division, CW Mackie & Co. PLC, for the second time around has come forward to sponsor the MCA Over 40 ‘Sixes’ to be held on Sunday, March 2 at the MCA grounds commencing 8.30 am.

Last year John Keells Group regained the title beating Singer Sri Lanka in the final. The play-off for the third place between Janashakthi Group and Airport & Aviation was abandoned halfway due to bad light and they were declared as joint winners.

The 11 teams participating at this year’s tournament are: John Keells Group, Singer Sri Lanka, Janashakthi Group, Airport & Aviation Services, HNB, Hayleys Group RC, SriLankan Airlines, Ceylinco SC, Access Group, Nations Trust Bank and the sponsors CW Mackie & Co.

Special awards on offer are for the Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Most sixes, Man-of-the-final and the Most Senior player.

The official sponsorship presentation took place last Thursday at the MCA with the participation of Gamini Heraliyawela (Chief Operating Officer), Ranjan J Palpola (General Manager/Sales and Distribution) and Cosmos M. Okersz (Asst. General Manager/Marketing), all from Scan Products Division, CW Mackie & Co., MCA was represented by Neil Perera (Snr. Vice President), Ashley Ratnayake (General Secretary) and Wasanthalal Fernando (Chairman Tournament Committee) – [LW]
