Sri Lanka Insurance held their 3rd “Formula Plus” Turbo Vasana Draw at the Sri Lanka Insurance premises recently.

T.K. Nawaratne of Matale became the 3rd Rs. 1,000,000/- winner while 165 other winners received valuable prizes ranging from Car DVD/TV’s, Home Theater systems, Camera Phones & Formula Plus wrist watches. Clive De Silva and Bri Ponnambalam of the Classic Car Club of Ceylon and Tudor Amarasekara from the Ministry of the Public Administration and Home Affairs were the special guests present on this momentous occasion.

On February 18th 2007, Nawaratne received a cheque for one million rupees at a ceremony held at company’s head office in the presence of many dignitaries of Sri Lanka Insurance. Nawaratne was awarded the cheque by Suren Galegoda, Chief Operating Office – Technical of Sri Lanka Insurance. Overjoyed by his luck, Nawaratne expressed himself by saying “Before I purchased my vehicle I was not aware of the importance of insurance but with the continuous effort of the officers at SLI, I was aptly educated on what was necessary. Since then I have continued being a customer and purchased my second vehicle only in December and am privileged to be the lucky winner of this draw within a month.”

He also added that since Sri Lanka Insurance has been in the insurance industry for over 45 years, and had no hesitations in selecting the company as the insurance provider to service his vehicles.

Sri Lanka Insurance has its own collision repair centre which offers its Formula Plus policy holders the option of repairing their vehicles to manufactures specifications after an accident at no additional cost.

Sri Lanka Insurance has been rated AA- (lka) by the global rating company Fitch Ratings (London) & was selected as the No 1 Insurance Solution Provider in Sri Lanka by the National Chamber of Commerce for the year 2007.
