Sampath Bank, HNB win

Defending league champs Sampath Bank ‘A’ posted their second successive win beating unbeaten Unichela ‘A’ by 26 runs in the ongoing 15th Singer-MCA Premier League continued on Sunday.

HNB too posted their second successive win in four outings beating Janashakthi by 41 runs.

The other two matches were affected by overnight rain. The J. Keells ‘A’ vs. East West Marketing ‘A’ match at SBC Grounds, Kotahena was abandoned without a ball being bowled while the Seylan Bank ‘A’ vs. Ceylinco SC ‘A’ match was reduced to 21 overs-a-side at DSS grounds where Ceylinco raced to a four-wicket win.
