Lowe LDB Sri Lanka’s first Superbrand Ad Agency


Lowe LDB the well known brand building Ad Agency gathered together with its clients and well wishers to celebrate being voted a Superbrand by an eminent council of corporates.

Charles Cadell, CEO of Lowe India was the special guest speaker on the occasion and he made a presentation to the gathering. He spoke on a subject he called ‘the consumer takes control’ which dealt with how the focus is expanding from traditional media alone to embrace new consumer touch and feel values that the communications industry is recognizing today.

Amal Cabraal, the Chairman of Unilever and the Agency’s first and still today, its most important client was invited to launch a new website identified as www.loweldbsuperbrand.com

In her short introduction Lilamani Benson also said it was the Agency’s 15th Anniversary and that she believed it was in recognition of fifteen years of having built Sri Lankan brands to market dominance with fine strategic thinking and creative power that the Agency was being recognized for Superbrand status.

She said the Agency nurtured some fifty brands, of which some 21 were market leaders and 12 were also Superbrands.

Present at the event were many marketing industry heavyweights who are clients and well wishers of Lowe LDB. A short question and answer session and a cocktail party followed the presentation.
