pick six for Beijing Olympics

Sri Lanka will be represented at the Beijing
Olympics in August by a six-member team comprising two
athletes, two swimmers, one pistol shooter and a boxer.
Sydney Olympic bronze medalist, Susanthika Jayasinghe
will be competing in what could be her last Olympics.
She carries the country’s main hopes of winning
a medal.
Having entered into international athletics in the early
part of 1990, she became exceptionally successful in
recent years and managed to clinch the bronze medal
at the Sydney Olympics in 2000. Full
