A toot and a smile
Although it is difficult to gauge the real impact of the UNP’s ‘flare and blare’ campaign held at noon yesterday, the unusual protest brought a smile on the faces of motorists burdened by skyrocketing fuel prices, if nothing else. UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe braved the rainy weather conditions to approach vehicle drivers and urge them to toot their horns against the government’s fuel increases during the protest.
