The
crisis within Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) deepened further
with the Commercial Bank figures for the two accounts
SLC has with the bank showing an overdraft of Rs 601
million.
Meanwhile the SLC hierarchy has rewarded its informants
by giving its favoured employees a salary hike of Rs
50,000 whereas other employees received a salary rise
of Rs. 5,000 in three instalments.
The Bottom Line learns that the allowances
of employees taken in by the previous regime have been
cut apparently to offset the increases given to the
favourites.
Meanwhile, the SLC employee who has been involved in
the tender fraud continues to wield power in the absence
of his master who is abroad on a private visit, throwing
his weight around at employees holding high positions
at SLC.
