Chartered Accountant’s case referred to Mediation Board

Charted Accountant Chaminda Senasinghe’s complaint against Labour Minister Mervin Silva’s son Malaka Silva has been referred to Mediation Board by the Attorney General.

Chaminda’s brother, Sujeewa Senasinghe, an Attorney-at-Law, told The Bottom Line that his brother was assaulted by Malaka and had suffered a fractured tooth. Sujeewa said his brother had received treatment for 24 days at the Colombo National Hospital. There is an eye witness to testify that Chaminda was assaulted with a pistol. According to a medical report his brother had sustained injuries caused by blunt weapon. “Since it is a grievous hurt, it is an appropriate case for trial before High Court,” said Sunjeewa’.

Sujeewa Senasinghe expects to write to the Attorney General requesting to file indictment before High Court regarding this assault incident.
