Regardless of age, young or old, people seem to be getting busier by the day. This new tendency of busy lifestyles has set a boon for the fast food joints. Many are mushrooming within the city of Colombo, as well as the suburbs. Given the inflation and living expenses rising daily, not to mention the attention being paid on health issues; obesity, diabetes and cholesterol, it is interesting to note that the swarm of customers who flock into these restaurants, seem to be increasing by the day.

Quality; Maintained...or is it?
Mano Manjari is a lady with a heavy load of work laid on her. Apart from looking after her two kids, managing a whole household, she is also most of the time absorbed in work as a music lecturer. She said that she tries her best to cook at home, but when there isn’t anyone to lend a helping hand; she has no choice but to buy food from outside. “Dinner can become a problem, if there isn’t anyone to help at home. I go out and buy something like hoppers or kottu or string hoppers,” she confessed with a laugh.
