CIM to educate marketers on Personal Management
With the objective of conveying the significance of effective
Human Resource Management as a tool of Sales and Marketing
Management, The Chartered Institute of Marketing Sri Lanka
Region has organized a full day programme titled Driving
Growth through Personal Development: Human Resource Management
for Effective Marketing & Sales under the CIM Professional
Series. The programme will be conducted by Nanada Dediyagala
and will be held on 23rd September, 2008 from 8.30am to 5.00pm
at Salon Lilac, Galadari Hotel. Dialog Telekom is the proud
sponsor of the CIM Professional Series for the year 2008;
this will be the 5th programme to be conducted under the CIM
Professional Series during the year.
Marketing & Sales the essential link with Human
Resource Management, the job characteristics approach to assist
effective HR decisions in Sales and Marketing, developing
competencies as strategic drivers, applying learning models
for CRM, effective role management for performance excellence,
self motivating techniques and career development for Marketing
and Sales personnel, and achieving balance between work and
family will be some of the areas that will be discussed at
the programme through a variety of case study and team exercises.
The presenter, Nanda Deiyagala is the Chairman of Brainpower
Management Consultancy and a member of the Board of Studies,
MBA Programme, University of Peradeniya. He holds a Master
of Science from Henley Management College Brunel University
(UK), a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies from the
University of South Bank (UK) and a Certificate in Industrial
Management from South East London Technical College (UK).
He is also an Associate Member of the Institution of Industrial
Managers (UK), a Member of the Greenlands Association, Henley
Management College (UK) and a Member of the Institute of Management,
Sri Lanka. Dediyagala is currently reading for a PhD at the
University of Peradeniya. He counts four years of experience
in lecturing and consultancy and has published widely.
