Quari Hisham Libya bound for Int’l Quirath Contest


A student of Zahira College Colombo, Quari Mohamed Hisham, through the Embassy of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya  in Sri Lanka, left for Libya, to participate in the International Quirath Contest.  There are 56 countries participating in this Quirath contest. Quari Mohamed Hisham is the only participant from Sri Lanka.

 Quari Hisham was a student of the All Ceylon Ansarul Sunnathul Muhammadiya Quran and Hifl Madharasa. He studied under the guidance of Quari Hafil M. Yusri Zubair and Quari Rahmathullah Mashood. Presently, Quari Hisham is studying Thajweed and Quirath from  Principal Quari M. Nuhman Athas of Madharasathul Huda. Quari Hisham was placed first at the Quirath Contest organised by the Muslim Religious & Cultural Affairs Department for the year 2007 and 2008. He also came first at the Quirath contest conducted by the Embassy of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya.

Hisham is the son of  M.H.M. Nauzer and Razeena Jasmin of Wellampitiya.
