Market losses top Rs. 100 billion
Miserable
run persists as Colombo Bourse heads for its worst year; Market
capitalisation down by Rs. 240 billion from all time high
of Rs. 938.6 billion achieved February last year
The
miserable performance of the Colombo stock market persists
much to the chagrin of investors, as year to date loss of
value topped the Rs. 100 billion mark yesterday.
The Colombo bourse lost Rs. 14 billion in value yesterday
bringing the total so far this year to Rs. 104.8 billion in
terms of market capitalisation.
