The Twenty20 Canada Cup is over but the Sri Lankans who are living in Toronto are still talking about how the Lankan cricketers led by Mahela Jayawardene clinched the inaugural tournament at King City grounds beating Pakistan in the final.

Jayaweera Rankothge, a Sri Lankan living in Whitby City in Toronto is a very keen cricket lover. He told ‘The Bottom Line’: “I am very happy the way the Sri Lankans played here. They have showed what team spirit is to other countries. They also played excellent cricket. My favourite cricketer of the world is none other than Sanath Jayasuriya who is very popular as master blaster. Jayasuriya still plays like a youngster and he is a good example for other players who are keen to play in the national team.”

Jayaweera further added: “I was very lucky to meet Jayasuriya and chat with him. He makes us feel very proud and he is always smiling with others. I am sure all Sri Lankans who are in Canada like him very much.
