Vinu, Hashan spearhead Peterite innings
win
St. Peter’s College made a spectacular start in
their Under-13 Division III inter-school cricket tournament
when they outclassed Carey College by an innings and
159 runs at Bambalapitiya on Monday.
St. Peter’s piled up an inspiring 237-8 declared
and then restricted Carey to totals of 41 and 37 with
leg-spinner Hashan Weeraratne capturing a match-bag
of seven wickets.
Peterite Vinu Mohotti hit an unbeaten 106.
