COMBanks Nelliady branch to offer
Saturday Banking
The Commercial Bank has enhanced its services to customers
in Jaffna by extending Saturday Banking to its branch
at Nelliady.
The branch located in MMV Road, Nelliady, from January
1 has been kept open on Saturdays from 9.00 a.m. to
1.30. p.m. for the convenience of customers, the Bank
said. We have a substantial customer base in this
area and we identified the need for offering Saturday
Banking at new locations in the peninsula. We launched
Saturday Banking in the Jaffna Main Branch in 2003 and
the popularity of this services has grown tremendously
and it was decided to extend this service to Nelliady
Commercial Banks Regional Manager (North-Eastern
Region) Mr. Selva Rajasooriyar said.
The Banks Nelliady Branch Manager S.K. Gunasingham
said that the new service is primarily intended to enhance
customer convenience and further added that it would
be an immense source of satisfaction to Government Servants
and other customers who find it difficult to transact
business with us on week days. He also stated that it
was a long felt desire of the Branch to provide their
customers banking services at leisure and
Saturday Banking Services would be fulfilling this desire
and need. This branch is equipped with two ATMs that
are linked to the 330 plus ATMs of the Bank in Sri Lanka
and the worldwide network of Cirrus and Maestro ATMs.
The Commercial Bank currently operates a total of 43
branches that offer Saturday Banking Services &
365-Day Banking Services which are offered through 23
Supermarket Banking Counters, five fully-fledged Holiday
Banking Centres at Colombo 7 (near Town Hall), Negombo,
Ampara, Galle and Kandy City Centre and 15 Saturday
Banking Centres. The bank operates five branches in
the Jaffna peninsula.
