Institute of Technology, Innova Strategies partner to
launch Diploma in Project Management
Informatics Institute of Technology, a pioneer education
institute and Innova Strategies, a Project Management
and Business Administration consultancy organization
last week signed a partnership agreement to deliver
Diploma in Project Management for professionals.
For those who want to propel their professional competency
in project management and want to align the projects
with corporate strategy, Informatics Institute of Technology
IIT, a leading education provider celebrating 25 years
in education, is happy to announce the launch of Diploma
in Project Management. This unique qualification in
the world of project management provides participants
the opportunity to accelerate their project management
career and related disciplines. Informatics Institute
of Technology, currently offers undergraduate and post
graduate degrees in Sri Lanka through the University
of Keele and University of West Minister UK. IIT delivers
the Diploma in Project Management programme in partnership
with a global project management consultancy firm, Innova
Strategies which was founded 2002 in Melbourne Australia.
Sharing the synergies of both organisations, and their
commitment to project management, IIT and Innova will
provide participants the commitment to a unique and
high quality program in project management, with the
introduction of Diploma in Project Management.
Diploma in Project Management will help the students
understand the overall project management process which
can be applied across multiple industries and will give
them an exposure to the tools and techniques used by
successful organisations all over the world. At the
same time the course will equip the students with a
qualification recognised at international level which
will lead to the worlds most recognised project
management qualification Project Management professional
(PMP) certification. To meet the global standards, the
program will be aligned with the PMI Project Management
Body of Knowledge (PMBoK) and will be conducted exclusively
by PMI PMP certified trainers.
Dr. Madhu Fernando, PMP, DBA, CEO of Innova Strategies,
who facilitates this program is a globally renowned
Project Management expert and trainer. Her thesis on
Innovation Strategies in Project Management has been
recognised at a very high standard by Swinburne University
in Melbourne.
Dr. Madhu Fernandos commitment to project management
include establishment of the Colombo chapter of Project
Management Institute (PMI- USA), and publishing many
articles on project management in local and international
magazines, and training and mentoring project managers
at private and government organisations for over a decade.
Dr. Madhu has been also recognised as one of the 25
most influential women in project management by PMI
USA PM Network magazine for her commitment to the discipline
of project management. During this program, Dr. Madhu
Fernando will work with a selected panel of experienced
trainers to ensure the highest quality in the deliverables.
Resource panel includes Dr. Ravi Koggalage, PMP, PhD,
Ajith Ranasinha and Aruna Koorgamage, who will take
participants through this journey of project management
with real life examples and case studies.
