Co-Chairs
tells LTTE to give in
- Govt
and rebels urged to declare no fire period
- Just
and lasting political solution reiterated as way out
of conflict
The
Tokyo Co-Chairs, namely Norway, Japan, the United States and
the European Union yesterday called on the LTTE to discuss
means with the government to lay down arms, renounce violence
and accept the governments amnesty.
They also strongly urged both parties to declare a no
fire period for the evacuation of trapped civilians.
