Otone – for finesse fitness

Fitness training and working out has never been this fun before! With all the attention turning on the ‘looking good and feeling great’ concept, Otone; the latest fitness boutique in town could not have been better timed.

Otone is the latest venture of Odel Founder and CEO, Otara Gunawardena. This fitness boutique is created to provide its customers a personalised, wholesome and fun filled fitness experience. “I have always believed in staying in shape and being healthy. That was the main reason that motivated me to open up Otone,” said Otara Gunawardena. However, she had discovered that working out on her own was not as effective as working out with a trainer with a program tailor-made for her. “That is the concept that I bring out through Otone,” she added. Although previously, working out could tend to be a tedious and boring activity, it will never be the same with Otone. “Our approach is fun and unconventional and our programmes are designed to achieve results together with mental as well as physical balance.”

Otone’s fitness programmes are designed to suit each individual’s fitness needs. Using simple yet effective and functional equipment such as medicine balls, speed ladders, tyres, punching and kicking bags, Power Pilates and free weights to achieve effective and successful results, Otone is fully fledged to cater to everyone’s fitness needs. Whether you are on the lookout for full fitness workout or relaxing and calming workout sessions of yoga or pilates, that is mentally and physically beneficial, Otone is equipped to cater to any need. Their line up ranges from personal fitness training to aerobics, cardio kick boxing, massage, boot camps and children’s fitness programs.

The various training programs include general fitness, weight loss, body toning, sports conditioning and corrective exercises. Otone’s fitness Director, Ranil Harshana is a highly qualified fitness specialist. His decade long experience in the fitness industry along with a Diploma in Fitness and Nutrition from the American Council of Exercise means anyone can approach Otone with confidence. He is also a certified trainer and fitness therapist having received specialised certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine, National Academy of Sports Medicine, International Sports Sciences Association and Performance Training Academy. “Not only keeping fit and staying in shape, Otone’s programmes will also help people with postural problems and those needing rehabilitation after illness or accidents,” said Ranil adding that they can take over when a physiotherapist completes treatment. He also noted that they can provide access to experts in sports medicine as well as Rheumatology.

Otone’s service range covers age ranges from eight year old children to business and executives, school level athletes as well as professional athletes.
