The pioneer Irish musical society “The Aer Lingus” will fly down to Colombo to add more colour to the celebration with their repertoire of modern and traditional Irish songs as well as the famous River dance, and you could catch them in action at the Beira Lounge from 6.30 pm onwards during the whole week! Whilst “The Aer Lingus”, plans to keep you spellbound with their power packed tricks and flicks, don’t forget to taste the traditional Irish stew, mashed potato and Irish beer for cheer!

The Summerfield’s Café will dish out a delicious Irish buffet for dinner during the same week for Rs.1450+tax per person and most of the items will be made with homemade authentic Irish recipes. Spicy salmon cakes, Potted shrimps, Pan fried mini steak of seer fish and prawns with hollandaise sauce and mango, Roasted pumpkin with avocado dressing, Beef in Brandy and white wine cream, Duck Shepherds Pie, Dublin coddle and Gammon steaks with whisky sauce are only a few of the delicious delights that will make up the dinner buffet!

The festival hits its peak on March 17 which is also considered St. Patrick’s Day.

Celebrations will shift to the plush night club of the hotel “The Library” on 17 and will offer the club patrons a night to witness the best of Irish moments from the past and present!

If you are Irish or not, this is one event which will keep you tapping your toes and clapping your hands all day! So, be at Trans Asia Hotel from 13 to 17 of March and let Irish dancers, harpists, singers and musicians serenade you with their endless energy, bringing out the true spirit of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations!
