All set for annual Chartered Accountancy Students Conference 2009

The Practicing Accountants Chartered Student Society (PACCS) the student body of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) is preparing to hold its annual student conference for the year 2009. The PACSS was founded in 1981 to represent the interest of the student base of the ICASL and since the inception it has held glorious events providing not just knowledge and wisdom for the students but excellent opportunities to interact with the outer business world. The Annual Student Conference is an event organised by the Student Society (PACCS) with the guidance of the ICASL, mainly with the objective of nurturing the students with the knowledge of the business world and to provide them an opportunity to question prominent figures on the happenings of the business world. This years Conference is scheduled to be held on the March 25, 2009 at the Galadari Hotel Ball Room, The event would be graced by prominent figures in the business world such as Hasitha Premaratne, Dr.Nalaka Godahewa, Dr. Harsha De Silva and Channa De Silva who would be addressing this occasion to widen the knowledge of the participants. Furthermore with the motive of strengthening the relationship between South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) and the ICASL, student delegates from this region (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh & Nepal) have been also invited in order to take part in the conference under the SAFA students’ Exchange Programme.
