donates US $ 50,000 to
Foundation of Goodness
RYTHM Foundation (RF), Hong Kong, the CSR arm of the QI Group of Companies, has recognised The Foundation of Goodness (FoG) in its work to empower rural children and youth through productive activities. As such a donation of USD 50,000 was made by RYTHM representative Vilvarajan Vijayaratnam, on behalf of the Managing Trustee of RF, Vijay Eswaran, at the FoG Project Office in Colombo.
Kushil Gunasekera, the founder of FoG who accepted the cheque, says that this donation will be used for the Village Heartbeat Empowerment model which includes English teaching, computer training, children’s goodness club, skills development, library facilities for disadvantaged children and youth in and around five villages including women’s enterprise.

RYTHM Foundation believes that children are our future and they are committed to providing the necessary means for that future to become brighter. The mission of RYTHM Foundation is to build opportunities and care for those in need. The Foundation aims to create decent living conditions and to protect the environment to guarantee sustainability and it strives to ensure that through its global partnerships with UNICEF, Red Cross and through numerous goodwill projects to uphold education, the environment, disaster relief and poverty elimination.
Speaking on behalf of the Managing Trustee of RF, Vijay Eswaran, Vijayaratnam said, “Having understood the depth of the work the FoG has put into rural sector, by way of its’ holistic approach we are proud to be a part of this endeavour.”
The Foundation of Goodness, who they are partnering in Sri Lanka, has been working for the betterment of local villagers for ten years, with the aim of narrowing the gap between urban and rural territories. Currently the FoG by way of 30 sectors provide better opportunities to 20,000 beneficiaries from over 25 villages with the emphasis on rural empowerment to create greater prospects for their future well being and happiness.
