Thoras provide the biggest shock

Apart from two schools rugby encounters where the results were quite obvious even before the kick-off, three other teams managed to pull out surprise wins over equally stronger opponents in the concluded third week. The biggest shocker of all was provided by Trinity went they went down 26-19 to S. Thomas’ at Mt. Lavinia. Though both teams looked well set Trinity held the upper hand following their big win over St. Anthony’s the previous week where they looked to have corrected their faults which led to their defeat against St. Joseph’s in the opening week. Similarly the Thomians had gone down to arch rivals Royal but recovered to play an impressive game against Isipathana.
