War victory unites politics

Successful defeat of terrorism has apparently inspired opposition political parties to rally around the cause for a concentrated effort to resolve other pressing national issues.
This was evidenced by the SLMC yesterday proposed a joint appeal to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) by all political parties urging for the speedy release of the US$1.9 billion loan that is currently bogged down in deliberations.

The defeat of terrorism and successful end of war in the country has certainly lifted the spirits of all and sundry.
