Nine top notch hotels in Dubai are offering purse-friendly discounts on accommodation in June and July to Emirates passengers stopping over to enjoy the city’s multifaceted attractions.

The discounts of 10, 15 and 20 percent are supplemented with similar discounts on food, beverages and spa treatments at some of these hotels. In addition, MasterCard credit card holders are entitled to further discounts.
“The hotels participating in the latest Dubai Stopovers programme represent a wide choice from the luxurious Al Maha Desert Resort and Spa to busy city hotels,” said Devika Ellepola, Emirates Sales Manager Sri Lanka. “The discounts provide very tangible savings that make a stopover an attractive proposition.”
Of the participating hotels offering discounts in June and July, the Al Maha and Harbour Hotel and Residence will provide savings of 15 per cent, the Pearl Residence 10 per cent and the Highland Hotel 20 per cent. The Palace, The Old Town Dubai and the Novotel Deira City Centre are offering a saving of 15 and 10 per cent respectively in June, while the Park Hyatt, Manhattan Avenue Hotel and Arabian Park, which are participating in July, will provide savings of 20, 15 and 20 per cent.
To be eligible for these special savings, all sectors of travel must be on Emirates services. Booking travel on-line via www.emirates.com/lk will provide the additional benefit of bonus Skywards Miles to members of Emirates’ award-winning frequent flyer programme.
Emirates operates 14 flights a week between Colombo and Dubai, providing convenient connections to 101 destinations on six continents. By July 3, 2009, the airline will add four more frequencies between Colombo and Dubai, increasing its services to 18 a week.
