Arpico honours star performers for achieving Rs. 4.8 b turnover

Richard Pieris and Company held its annual sales conference recently to honour its star sales force in the manufacturing and distribution sector who achieved a record 4.8 billion turnover in the last financial year. The group’s top management commended its sales personals for exceptional results in a challenging environment in the face of a global downturn and for achieving market leadership in a range of product categories including mattresses, water tanks, rigifoam, rubber hoses and water pumps, thanks to innovative strategies to be competitive in unfavourable market conditions.
Managing Director of the groups’ local manufacturing and distribution sector, Sunil Liyanage, addressing the audience congratulated the star performers. “You have performed exceptionally well with a record sales turnover in spite of tremendous competition as well as unfavourable economic conditions” he said. Marketing Director of the sector, Emil Senanayake and Director Distribution, Shantha Kularatne shared marketing and sales strategies for the sector at the occasion. Both expressed confidence in setting future objectives and the expected performance of the dynamic sales force.
Head of Sales, J.A.M. Naushad, together with Field Sales Managers Athula Wickramatilake and Duminda Perera, presented bold targets as the way forward for the next year and presented practical strategies to build sales and grow profits.
