Government to set up court complexes in
Mullaitivu and Kilinochchi

The government is taking steps to set up court complexes in Mullaitivu and Kilinochchi Districts shortly, the Secretary to the Judicial Services Commission Chandra Jayatilleke has announced.
He noted that there was a need of a judiciary system parallel to the new development plans to consolidate security and to resettle people in the areas.
He further said that the upcoming committee meeting of the Ministry of Justice will decide further developments of the scheme.
In the northern and eastern provinces, Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu are the two main cities where such courts are necessary.
