New Chairman of the Co-operative Commission - Western Province

Ariyadasa Thantirige

Upali Kodikara, Western Provincial Council Minister of Transport Sports, Youth, Cultural Affairs, Food Supplies and Distribution and Rural Development, has appointed Ariyadasa Thantirige (All Island J.P.) of Nugegoda, as the Chairman of Co-operative Commission - Western Province. Thantirige and old boy of Kolonnawa Vidyalaya and Ananda College, Colombo, retired recently as a Senior Assistant Director of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. He was the former Vice President of the All Island J.P. Association and President of the Lions Club-Battaramulla Central. A prominent social worker of the area, he has also served as a Hony.Member of the Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte Mediation Board.
