Gas gives good news and bad

Shell dips by Rs.53 while Laugfs rises by Rs.100

Gas prices had good news and bad news to deliver to consumers yesterday when prices were revamped by the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA).
Accordingly, a Shell Gas cylinder reduced prices by Rs.53 to bring it from Rs.1500 to Rs.1447. Meanwhile, Laugfs Gas increased by Rs.100 bringing their price to Rs.1407.
The prices became officially available from midnight.
These price revisions were made under the bi-monthly applications made to the CAA by both companies. The price revisions were made regarding the world market prices of LPG during the last two months. If the CAA had not responded to the applications within a 30 day period the companies have the right to increases prices by the amount mentioned in the application.
