In its latest endeavours, the bank has entered into a strategic partnership with “MoneyGram International” to further consolidate its position whilst also providing the most convenient locations for the remitters and the beneficiaries to send and receive money respectively.
To reach respective beneficiaries in every nook and corner of the island and to create the awareness of the advantages in a real-time money transfer system, the two organisations jointly launched a publicity vehicle on June 30, 2009 from the Seylan Towers.
The Chairman Seylan Bank Eastman Narangoda inaugurated the Mobile Awareness Programme by cutting the ribbon and Harsh Lambah – Regional Director – South Asia of MoneyGram International flagged off the vehicle ceremonially.
With its long history of having handled international money transfer services, Seylan Bank is geared to service recipients anywhere in the island through its 114 Banking Centres and dedicated frontline staff.
The Bank also maintains a 24 hour – 365 day outlet at the Seylan Towers for those who may receive funds to meet with an emergency.
