Honoured by the British Empire for service in Sri Lanka

The British High Commissioner Peter Hayes hosted a ceremony to felicitate two British nationals in Sri Lanka who were honoured by the Queen at the Buckingham Palace in June. Chris Stubbs who runs MENCAFEB, an institute for special needs/intellectually challenged children and young people in Nuwara Eliya was awarded a MBE by Queen Elizabeth II for his tireless efforts, while Christopher Worthington, a Superintendent of the Commonwealth Graves Commission was awarded an OBE by the Queen for his years of service in taking care of the Commonwealth War Graves in Trincomalee and Kandy
