The two most successful teams in the shortest form of cricket Twenty20 - world champs Pakistan and runner-up Sri Lanka will meet in a one-off T20 international under lights at the R Premadasa Stadium today.

Since the advent of international T20 cricket four years ago, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have been the most dominant countries in this form of the game and it was no surprise they qualified to play in the second edition of the ICC’s World Twenty20 final at Lord’s two months ago. Pakistan has a 77 percent success rate winning 18 of their 24 T20 Internationals played so far and Sri Lanka is a close second with a success rate of 70 percent winning 14 out of 20 T20Is.
Pakistan led by Younis Khan crowned themselves champions winning by eight wickets and bringing to an end Sri Lanka’s unbeaten run of six matches in the tournament.
