Vegetarian Buffet at Chutneys

Colombo’s favourite South Indian restaurant brings you the first ever vegetarian buffet consisting of over 30 dishes from 7:00 to 11:00 pm on Tuesdays. This vegetarian feast keeps in line with the Cinnamon Grand’s promise of indulgence for everyone for just Rs. 790/-+++.
This culinary experience offers a delightful range of vegetarian fare from the four South Indian states as well as over 10 varieties of dosai! That’s not all; a host of beverages will be made available with a welcome drink to complement your meal. With an unparalleled focus on strictly vegetarian fare, Chutneys is poised to deliver an experience like never before every Tuesday commencing October 6.
The buffet menu includes starters such as Tomato Rasam, Cachumber salad, sliced onion and green chillies, sliced cucumber and radish salad, bell pepper and tomato salad and green salad. The buffet selection from Karnataka comprises Broccoli tempered with cashew nuts and garam masala, Fried chilli marinated potato cooked with ginger, garlic and curry leaves, Ridge gourd and cashew nut tenderised with mango cooked in garam masala, curry leaves and coconut milk.
Kerala dishes ranges from Sarana and lentil cooked with red chilli, garam masala, mustard and tamarind to Homemade cottage cheese and green peas cooked in coconut gravy and Curd rice. Andra Pradesh dishes include Mango and brinjal cooked with hot and spicy masala and Cauliflower and beans tempered with cashew nut and garam masala.
Tamil Nadu’s selection includes Lentil, drumstick and brinjal cooked with red chilli, garam masala, mustard and tamarind, Garden fresh carrot and beans sautéed with onion and black pepper, Traditional south Indian curry with fenugreek and onions and Kaikari Biriyani.
The dosai varieties comprise Potato masala, Paneer masala, Ghee, Butter, Rava masala, Cashew nut, Plain uttapam and Masala uttampam. Steamed rice, Paratha, Idly, Curd, Curd chilli, Chutney, Raita and other flavourful additions are also available while Ulundu and Masala action stations provide some live flair!
Delicious desserts range from lentil and jaggery flavoured with coconut milk and deep fried milk dumplings served in cardamom syrup to Besan flour sweetened and mixed with ghee and spices and lots more.
